Burn a date & time stamp onto your pictures like an old film camera โ or a clean modern caption. The tool reads the real capture date from each photo's EXIF automatically, and everything happens on your own device. Nothing is uploaded.
Drag & drop photos here, or
JPG, PNG or WebP. Your photos never leave this browser tab.
Everything runs locally in your browser. No file is uploaded to any server.
Modern phones stopped burning the date into the corner of every picture the way film cameras used to. The date is still there โ hidden in the photo's EXIF metadata โ but you can't see it, and it disappears the moment you screenshot, print, or share the image. This tool puts a visible date stamp back on the photo, reading the true capture time straight from EXIF so the stamp matches when the picture was actually taken.
Crucially, it does this without uploading your photos anywhere. Most "add timestamp to photo" websites send your image to their server, stamp it there, and send it back. For a vacation snapshot that may be fine. For insurance claims, property/inspection photos, legal or medical documentation, or anything personal, it means handing a copy to a stranger's server. Here, the stamping is done by code running inside your browser tab โ open DevTools, watch the Network panel, and stamp a photo: not a single byte leaves your machine.
DateTimeOriginal from each JPEG and pre-fills the stamp, so you don't type dates by hand. There is no upload endpoint, no account, and no server-side storage โ this is a set of static files plus an in-browser stamping engine. Because the work happens locally there is no file-size limit from an upload quota, and it keeps working offline after the first load.
DateTimeOriginal (the moment the camera recorded it), read locally. If a photo has no EXIF date โ common for screenshots, scans, or edited images โ the tool falls back to the file's modified date, and you can set any date yourself.
